The IntelliScan Annotator Academy is a production-focused training and certification pipeline that prepares African talent to work on real, enterprise-grade AI, KYC, insurance, and document-intelligence projects.
This Academy exists for one purpose: to produce certified operators who can be deployed into real workflows with predictable quality and accountable delivery. It is structured like operations, not like a classroom.
We train annotators to execute within controlled task environments, follow strict guidelines, hit measurable quality thresholds, and work under QA oversight the same way they would inside an enterprise program. That is why the Academy is part of IntelliScan’s delivery system, not a separate HR initiative.
The Academy serves both sides of the market: disciplined talent that wants real deployment pathways, and organizations that need stable, governed teams. The same pipeline supports both audiences — screening, structured training, certification, production trials, and deployment controls, so outputs stay consistent and enterprise-ready.
If you want serious, production-ready skills not just theory, the Academy is designed to qualify you for real operational work. You’ll train inside structured workflows, complete simulations, earn certification based on performance, and become eligible for deployment into IntelliScan delivery pods when project demand exists.
If you need workforce capacity, this is a controlled pipeline that produces deployment-ready teams under governance, QA thresholds, and auditability. Sponsor a cohort to build a dedicated talent stream aligned to your workflows, security requirements, and delivery expectations.
Amina K., Certified Production Annotator (Level 2)

The Academy is designed to serve both sides of the market: disciplined talent that wants real deployment pathways, and organizations that need stable, governed teams. The same pipeline supports both audiences — screening, structured training, certification, production trials, and deployment controls — so the output is consistent and enterprise-ready.

Join Africa’s top 1% of annotation and AI evaluation talent. This program is best suited for people who can work with precision, follow instructions, accept feedback, and operate consistently. We care less about hype and more about discipline: quality, reliability, and professionalism in production conditions.
• Graduates and early-career professionals
• Career switchers with strong attention to detail
• Individuals seeking real project experience, not just certificates

For enterprise buyers, the Academy functions as a capacity engine with controls: certification thresholds, QA sampling, production trials, and governance alignment. It’s built to reduce operational and compliance risk while increasing throughput
• AI companies needing trained annotation teams
• Banks, fintechs, and insurers scaling KYC and document review
• Governments, NGOs, and development partners building digital skills capacity

Most training programs optimize for completion. We optimize for deployment readiness. Enterprise work is not forgiving: errors create downstream risk, compliance workflows require auditability, and production environments demand repeatability.
The Academy is built and governed by an AI operations company — not a school — which means the curriculum, evaluation, and workflow standards are designed around real delivery, not theoretical learning.
• Built by a U.S.-governed AI operations company
• Curriculum designed around real client workflows
• Certification tied to deployment readiness, not attendance
• Certified operators feed directly into IntelliScan delivery pods
• Quality, security, and escalation rules mirror production environments
We train people the way we expect them to work.

Enterprise delivery requires controlled onboarding. This pipeline is how we prevent unverified talent from entering production. Every participant moves through structured evaluation, supervised practice, certification thresholds, and a production trial gate before any deployment decisions are made.
Step 1: Screening and Baseline Assessment
We assess attention to detail, comprehension, reliability, and tool readiness. This stage filters for consistency and the ability to follow instructions — the traits that matter most in production.
Step 2: Structured Training and Simulations
Participants train on realistic scenarios using gold-standard datasets and workflow simulations. The goal is repeatable execution: interpreting guidelines, applying rules consistently, handling edge cases, and escalating correctly when uncertain.
Step 3: Certification (Levels 1–4)
Certification is competency-based and aligned to production roles. Operators progress by proving capability — accuracy, consistency, and guideline adherence — not by simply completing modules.
Step 4: Production Trial and QA Gate
Before deployment eligibility, operators complete supervised production tasks and must meet QA thresholds. This stage confirms performance holds under real throughput expectations and review conditions.
Step 5: Deployment into IntelliScan Project Pods
Certified operators are assigned to live client work under team leads and QA oversight. Deployment depends on certification level, specialization track, QA performance, and active project demand.
Tools, task instructions, accuracy basics, compliance awareness. Level 1 operators are learning to execute correctly under supervision and are not eligible for deployment.
Throughput, consistency, guideline adherence, and error reduction. Level 2 operators are eligible for deployment after passing the production trial and QA gate.
Track-specific competence across KYC, Insurance, OCR, and LLM Evaluation, including stronger edge-case handling and correct escalation behavior.
Sampling, escalation handling, error taxonomy, peer review, coaching, and enforcement of standards across delivery pods.

The Academy offers two training formats to meet different readiness levels. Both paths lead into the same controlled pipeline: certification levels, production trial requirements, and deployment eligibility standards.

An intensive, outcome-driven program designed for university graduates and early-career professionals who want to become job-ready quickly. This track focuses on production workflow discipline, speed with accuracy, and quality standards expected on real client projects.
You’ll learn:
Best for: Graduates ready to move fast and start working sooner.

A structured, step-by-step program built for students and beginners who want deeper fundamentals, more guided practice, and stronger confidence before stepping into advanced work. This track prioritizes skill-building, repetition, feedback, and professional readiness over speed.

Best for: Students, career switchers, and beginners who want a stronger base.
The video below provides a behind-the-scenes look at how the IntelliScan Elite Annotator Academy prepares African talent for real, production-grade work. You’ll see how we train annotators to operate within structured workflows, follow quality and compliance standards, and progress through a certification and deployment pipeline designed to meet enterprise expectations.
*Completion of the Academy does not guarantee employment. Deployment into IntelliScan projects is based on certification level, quality assurance performance, specialization track, and active client demand.

Within the Annotator Academy, every learner chooses a track that aligns with where they want to play: financial services and KYC, insurance and claims, or LLM and AI evaluation. Each path is designed around real workflows, real regulations, and real demand so by the time you’re certified.

In this track, you learn how real KYC and banking operations work behind the scenes. You’ll verify IDs and official documents—passports, NIN, driver’s licenses, voter cards—then validate OCR outputs and correct machine-extracted data so systems stay clean and audit-ready.
You’ll tag personal and sensitive information (PII) properly, label fraud patterns and risk indicators, and learn to work within NDPR/GDPR and CBN-aligned KYC rules. By the end, you’re not just clicking boxes—you’re thinking like a compliance-aware operator inside a modern financial institution..

This track drops you into the world of claims and risk. You’ll interpret insurance claims across motor, health, property, and liability, then annotate damage on vehicles and property using bounding boxes, polygons, and segmentation that models can actually learn from.
You’ll classify underwriting data, assign risk categories, and work with multimodal claims inputs—photos, adjuster reports, repair estimates, and claim forms. You’ll also learn to tag fraud patterns and suspicious claims, helping automate decision-making while keeping human-level judgment in the loop.

Here, you step directly into the frontier of AI. You’ll learn to classify text by sentiment, intent, topics, and entities; perform RLHF by ranking model responses, spotting hallucinations, and scoring quality; and detect bias, toxicity, and unsafe or unethical outputs before they reach users.
You’ll evaluate summarization, translation, creativity, and instruction-following, and build a practical understanding of prompt behavior and model limitations. This track is for people who want to sit at the intersection of AI quality, safety, and human judgment.

Every stage of training and deployment follows IntelliScan operating controls. These controls exist to ensure outputs are consistent, auditable, and suitable for enterprise environments where accuracy and governance matter.
QA sampling typically runs 10 to 20 percent and is configurable per client. Certification pass thresholds run 95 to 97 percent depending on track. Internal escalation SLA is under 4 hours. Gold-set benchmarking runs weekly. A production trial is required before deployment.
These controls ensure our workforce is predictable, auditable, and enterprise-ready.

All Academy training and deployments operate under IntelliScan.Africa’s Security and Compliance framework. This includes role-based access controls, segregation of client data, QA logging and audit trails, confidentiality and IP protection, and client-defined security requirements.

We partner with organizations to sponsor training cohorts, build dedicated annotation teams, support digital skills and employment programs, and create long-term, job-linked training pipelines.
